We're looking for someone to join our team as a Manager, Purchasing who:
Directs and provides overall management of the purchasing department personnel.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Serves as working supervisor for team or work group using comprehensive knowledge of a seasoned professional.
Provides technical leadership while performing escalated or complex duties.
Essential Functions:
Controls, counts, and reports on hospital supply inventories.
Replenishes supplies (stock and non-stock) for assigned floors.
Adjusts stock levels as needed to meet the needs of the departments.
Reviews and makes appropriate recommendations in reference to all new supplies and equipment for areas of responsibility and the entire hospital, making certain to adhere to all necessary organization contracts.
Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.
Interviews and selects new personnel, oversees orientation and training of new staff to department operations and procedures and evaluates employee performance.
Manages and evaluates employees.
Coordinates and manages an ongoing value analysis program.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
